What we collect
Guest searches, planning choices, and Saved places stay on your iPhone unless you create an account. If you use an account, we process your email address, an internal account identifier, synced Saved places, private trip membership, camping options, votes, selections, and invitations. If you submit a safety report, we retain its category and the details you choose to provide.
Our service also keeps limited security and reliability records such as request identifiers, app build, response status, latency, and keyed abuse-prevention values. Ordinary logs are designed not to contain email addresses, credentials, invitation secrets, or private trip bodies.
Why we use it
We use this information only to authenticate you, sync the features you request, operate private trips, prevent abuse, respond to support or safety reports, protect the service, and diagnose failures. We do not sell personal information, serve ads, build marketing audiences, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Sharing and providers
Account and trip data is sent to our first-party service and database. An email delivery provider receives your address only to deliver a requested sign-in code. Apple processes App Store distribution and any system share destination you choose receives the invitation link you explicitly share. Public camping information may come from linked government and land-manager sources; we do not send them your account or trip data.
Storage and deletion
Credentials are protected in the iOS Keychain or encrypted/digested on the service. Private trips are available only to current members. Invitation links expire and can be used only as designed. You can delete your account from Account & Settings in the iOS app; this deletes trips you own, removes you from other trips, and removes your account and synced Saved places. Limited encrypted backups and safety or security records may remain temporarily where needed for recovery, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.
Your choices
You may browse as a guest, sign out, remove Saved places, leave trips you do not own, block or unblock trip members, submit a private report, and delete your account in the app. The app does not request Contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, photos, advertising identifier, or tracking permission.
